Perhaps, the Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers might be one of the most candid coach in the league. Rivers was fined $25,000 by the NBA for criticizing the game officials over a controversial call during a post-game press conference after Clippers’ 105-104 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 5 on Tuesday. The $25,000 fine was announced by the league on Thursday for Rivers criticism. Rivers was enraged by the referees’ decision to grant Oklahoma City possession after an out-of-bounds call with 11.3 seconds to play and the Clippers leading 104-102. And of course the incensed Rivers expressed his frustration by pounding the table and venting his point to the refs. Here are some of the things that were said by Rivers during the post-game press conference:
“That was our ball. We got robbed.”
“That’s a bunch of crap and y’all know it.”
“That was a brutal call and it cost us the game.”
“That’s a game defining, and possibly series-defining call.”
Nonetheless, Rivers did had a valid point regarding the controversial call. Check out the video and see it for yourself.
