The Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay is well known as a strategic, tough and beloved businessman but behind closed-doors he has a reputation for painkiller dependency. The 54-year-old Irsay was pulled over near his suburban home in Carmel little before midnight on Sunday by police. According to the arriving officers they found multiple prescription drugs inside his vehicle. Irsay was spotted driving extremely slow, stopping in the roadway and failing to use proper turn signal according to the police officers. The visual sign of DUI capture the attention of the officer which gave them the rights to investigate the suspect. Irsay failed several roadside field sobriety tests before he was arrested and charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and four felony counts of possession of a controlled substance. After posting bond on Monday from the Hamilton County Jail, Irsay tweeted his gratitude, ”Deepest thx to family, friends, fans, colleagues for the messages of support, thoughts and prayers. Impossible to tell u how much this means.” While all of that may sound nice and gravy, but several players expressed their thoughts about the ordeal on twitter. For instance, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White tweeted, ”I want to see what the NFL does about this Jim Irsay situation if a player loses a game check no matter the amount he should lose a game day.”
